The Week That Upstate New York Went Crazy
The question on my mind is, why is it that in every movie or TV show the murder mystery or the stories about people going missing always happen in small towns? Think Twin Peaks or Riverdale. Ever since I can remember the shows and movies that are about some sort of mystery all take place in a small town! I mean HELLOOO! Have we not all seen Pretty Little Liars? Ali was GONE and the Liars were literally tormented by -A. Granted PLL (Pretty Little Liars) was just a TV show but, the sad and scary part about this is that it happens all too often.
It had to have been the full moon, I mean how else does this all happen in one week, and in such a small town… let’s go back and reminisce, about the bizarre week Upstate New York
With any story, we should go back to the beginning.
The first event took place on January 27th at 2:32 pm in Fort Edward, New York. A woman named Nikketa tried stabbing her sister’s boyfriend, Richard in the chest. Richard woke up from a nap to Nikketa coming into the living room with a knife saying “I’m going to kill you.” After being stabbed Richard was still able to push her down. Once authorities arrived Nikketa broke out into a psychotic state telling police that “Nikketa was on her way” and that she had “25 demons” inside of her. She even went as far as to try to grab an officer’s gun from his holster. Nikketa was arrested on felony charges, and charged with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and endangering the welfare of a child considering she performed this in front of her three-year-old child.
The next event followed shortly behind at 5:11 pm in Glens Falls, New York.
As the day came to a close for Kristen she was leaving work, at the Glens Falls Hospital as a cardiac catheterization nurse just like any other day. While walking out into the hospital parking lot, she was struck by a snowplow as it was backing up. Kristen was pronounced dead at the scene.
The third and final event happened the next day on January 28th at 3:49 pm.
A man named Sheldon walked into a pharmacy in Hudson Falls, New York carrying a rifle. The man then robbed the pharmacy employees at gunpoint, he didn’t go after the money, he wanted the prescriptions. Police had got a description of the getaway car and spotted it in Hudson Falls, and attempted to stop it. Sheldon did not stop when the police tried to pull him over and lead the Washington County Sheriff’s department on a high-speed chase where he was stopped in Fort Anne and ended up shooting himself with his rifle.
There’s been a lot of craziness going around this week for such a small area. It’s a little creepy if you think about it. Living in this small town myself it felt almost as if I was in some sort of thriller/ mystery movie because this type of stuff doesn’t just happen… some sort of “force” has to play a part in this, I mean it’s the only logical answer though right? I blame the full moon, that’s got to be what it is. Scientists have said themselves that the way the full moon affects humans, makes the ones affected, lunatics. What do you think? Comment Below.
